This afternoon on Facebook it was announced that the city trail organized by Venicemarathon will be postponed on April 10, 2021. The 5th edition was organized at first on Saturday, April 4 with 4000 registrations and then posticipated for the health emergency.

 

Venice, July 7, 2020 – The CMP Venice Night Trail organizers, the authorities and the sponsor belived it until now. When they suspended the event with 4,000 members (sold-out event) on 4 April for the health emergency, they seriously hoped to be able to recover it during the summer.

But due to the current situation, Venicemarathon announced the postponement of the 5th edition of the Venice Night Trail to Saturday 10 April 2021.

All those who are already registered will have the bib number reserved for the next edition or even for 2022 in the case of unavailability. More information in this regard will be communicated by e-mail to all interested parties shortly.

As a consequence of the ongoing health emergency and being unable to be certain about future developments, having regard to the relevant regulations issued by the Italian Government, we inform you that THE EVENT OF APRIL 4 IS SUSPENDED, although our organizational commitment continues and will constantly continue to get live another VENICE NIGHT TRAIL beautiful edition.

As soon as possible, in agreement with the competent authorities, we will update you with the correct date well in advance, so that you can organize yourself properly.

Sure to have your understanding and to meet you soon at Venice, we send a warm greeting to you all.

The Memorandum of Understanding for events’ sustainability between Venicemarathon, Veneto Region, Trenitalia Veneto, Corepla, eAmbiente Group, Coni, Fidal, T.D.S., Gruppo Veritas and Villa Pisani Museum was signed

The first step for the 35th Venicemarathon (October 25, 2020) has already worked on the environment way.

 In the last days it was signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the promotion of sports events’ sustainability, that was inserted in the environmental project promoted by Veneto Region “Zero Waste Blue sport events for territorial development”, inserted in the Interreg V A Program - Italia Croazia. After the success of the 2018 and 2019 editions, the Memoandum is ready to be a model for the other marathons’ editions and also for other Venicemarathon’s events like CMP Venice Night Trail, Jesolo Moonlight Half Marathon and Alì Family Run of Chioggia, San Donà, Dolo e Mestre

The agreement was signed by Venicemarathon, Veneto Region, Corepla, Trenialia Veneto, eAmbiente, Gruppo Veritas, Polo Museale del Veneto, Villa Pisani Museum, T.D.S., Coni, Fidal.

  The measures already taken by Venicemarathon will be enforced:

  1. CO2 decrease and mobility rationalization thanks to a more sustainable transportation studied by Veneto Region and Trenitalia;
  2. Recycling improvement, thanks to Veritas Group;
  3. Plastic reciclyng and recovery, thanks to Corepla;
  4. Encouragement of a sustainable tourism and accessibility improvement.
  5. Reduction of paper using.

The registrations for the fifth edition of the night city trail organized by Venicemarathon on April 4th at Venice are closed well in advance.
There will be 16 kilometres and 51 bridges to run through the magic of the Venetian night. CMP, the sport brand of Campagnolo brothers, confirms also this year its presence as title & technical sponsor.

Venice, January 23, 2020 – From yesterday afternoon the CMP Venice Night Trail is a sold out event, with its 4,000 bib numbers. The registrations to the night city trail organized by Venicemarathon on April 4th are therefore closed. It could be considered a record, thinking also that the number of registrations is increased of about 500 bib numbers.
Runners will deal with 16 kilometres and 51 bridges to live an extraordinary experience to run by night in a unique city, enveloped in the silence and the sound of the water.
The race will start at 9pm and will go into the most typical zones of Venice, crossing the Calatrava Bridge, St. Mark’s square, Accademia Bridge and Punta della Dogana.
The start and finish line will be set up in the San Basilio area, thanks to the collaboration with the Port authority and VTP.
CMP, the sportswear brand of Campagnolo brothers, that is the title & technical sponsor of the event, is very happy of the result. The company confirms its presence, with its tradition of sportswear, from ski to trekking.
CMP Venice Night Trail join the #EnjoyRespectVenezia project, making aware runners of adopting responsible behaviours for the city of Venice.
