TVenice is ready to light up with the fourth edition of the night city trail organized by Venicemarathon with start at 9pm from San Basilio

Venice, April 11, 2019 - The countdown for the CMP Venice Night Trail, which will light up Venice on the evening of Saturday 13 April, begins with 3,500 moving lamps that athletes will wear in the race and which will give life to the fourth edition of this organized night city trail from Venicemarathon.

The center of the event will be the Passenger Terminal of the San Basilio port area. Here the CMP Venice Running Village will be built and here athletes can collect bib numbers and goody bags, find pre and post race services and visit a large exhibition area. The village will open its doors at 3pm with the presentation of the best athletes of the "Tornado Trail Running Team": Silvia Rampazzo, selected in these days by Fidal to represent Italy at the World Cup in Portugal next 8 June; Simone Wegher, Lorenzo Cagnati, Giacomo Esposito, Roberto Graziotto, Tina Sbrissa, Italo Cassol, Francesca Tonin, Milena Pasin and Giulia Bedorin, Silvia Serafini, Nicolò Petrin, Gabriele Bacchion, Alessia Danieli, Flavio Gobbo, Roberto Cassol, Marco Tramet and Melina Grosjean.

One of the services that every year Venicemarathon makes available to athletes during the race, is the BLS-Run-Team group, that is the team of runners composed of doctors, nurses and volunteers, all holders of the certificate of training of Basic Life Support and able to carry out the support maneuvers of basic vital functions. Although they normally run their race, these operators will be scattered along the route and in the event of a cardiac arrest episode they will be immediately available for rescue. Specifically, the CMP Venice Night Trail will feature 3 resuscitators, 3 emergency nurses and 6 people with a BLS certificate.

The start of the CMP Venice Night Trail will be at 9pm in the square in front of Terminal San Basilio (Sestiere Dorsoduro) and the route will cross the most suggestive areas of Venice, with spectacular passages on the Calatrava bridge, in Piazza San Marco, on the Accademia bridge to Punta della Dogana and then back to San Basilio along Riva delle Zattere. In all, the kilometers to be traveled will be 16 and 51 bridges to deal with.
