Venice, 28 February 2024 – Registration for the 8th CMP Venice Night Trail, the night trail organized by Venicemarathon with the fundamental support and patronage of the Municipal Administration of Venice and the Authority of Port System of the Northern Adriatic Sea, scheduled in Venice on the evening of Saturday 6 April.
The 5,000 places made available by the organization for this fascinating torchlit night race of 16K and 51 bridges in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, which every year always has a strong attraction for Italian and foreign runners, are therefore sold out. increasingly increasing. The sold out registrations are, in fact, no longer a novelty but a pleasant tradition, which has been repeated every year since the first edition.
The start of the race is scheduled for 9pm from the Port of Venice, more precisely from the Cruise Terminal 123 where, thanks to the collaboration with Venezia Terminal Passeggeri, the CMP Village will be built with all the pre- and post-race services and where the athletes will be able to easily leave the The car is a few meters from the start and finish line.
From there, the route will enter the most typical areas of the historic city, touching points of great charm such as Piazza San Marco, the Accademia bridge and Punta della Dogana, for a total of 16 kilometers and 51 bridges to tackle, surrounded by darkness and accompanied by the sweet melody of crashing waves.
This year too, the shirt and the official medal will be two collector's items.
The medal, which all athletes will be able to wear around their neck at the end of the race, is inspired for this edition by the quatrefoil cross, the typical Venetian Gothic style fretwork, an ornamental motif of the Doge's Palace in Venice.
The official race shirt, signed by CMP and which all athletes will receive free together with the package, recalls another of the symbols of Venice: the column of San Marco which stands at the entrance to Piazza San Marco (together with that of San Tòdaro) and features a color combination of orange, black, gray and white. The t-shirt was chosen through a survey via Facebook in which 890 people participated. There were four proposals to vote on and the winning shirt received 358 votes.
