The fascinating night-time urban trail organized by Venicemarathon returns on Saturday 5 April, with over 5,000 athletes taking to the start line to enter the heart of Venice by torchlight.
Venice, March 25, 2025 – The countdown has begun for the long-awaited 9th CMP Venice Night Trail, the first race in the long calendar of events organized by Venicemarathon throughout the year and already sold out since the first days of February due to the exhaustion of the 5,000 available places.
An event that every year confirms itself as a huge success and of great charm for athletes and the public who on the night of Saturday, April 5 will witness the spectacle of a Venice illuminated by five thousand headlamps that will move, like many small fireflies, up and down the 51 bridges and along the 16 kilometers of the route, between calli and campielli of suggestive beauty, touching areas of great charm such as Piazza San Marco, the Accademia bridge, Punta della Dogana, the Fondamenta delle Zattere and the Giudecca Canal.
A little less than two weeks from the start, the time has come to also reveal the medal that all athletes will be able to wear around their necks at the end of the race. This year it will be round in shape, with a gondolier in the foreground and the symbols of Venice in the background, such as the column of San Marco, the Basilica of San Marco, the Rialto Bridge and the Basilica della Salute.
The party of the 9th CMP Venice Night Trail will begin on Friday 4th April with the opening of the CMP Venice Night Village, from 3pm to 8pm, at the Terminal Crociere 123 of the Port of Venice. The Village will offer all the pre- and post-race services, including large parking lots where athletes can easily leave their cars a few meters from the start and finish line.
On Saturday 5th April the CMP Venice Night Village will open from 9am to welcome the huge flow of athletes who will come to collect their bibs, race packs and learn about the latest news in terms of clothing at the CMP stand, receive nice gadgets at the Alì stand or have their muscles loosened by the Body Evolution masseurs with Lacomed Sport products. Outside Audi Motorclass will offer test drive activities.
The start is scheduled for 9:00 pm and once the race is over, the Venice Night Party will begin with the Pasta Party, free for all registered participants and purchasable online for companions, and the DJ set that will make you dance until late at night. As always, everything will be enriched by good Bavaria beer.
The event is organized by Venicemarathon with the support and patronage of the Municipal Administration of Venice and the Port System Authority of the Adriatic Sea.
